About the Festival
The SC Pecan Festival is hosted by the Florence Downtown Development Corporation and The City of Florence, and it takes place on the first Saturday of November each year in Florence's downtown. The festival has a wide variety of activities and vendors, including over 250 food and craft vendors, special art demonstrations, a Free Kids Zone, amusement rides, antique car shows, races, cook-off competitions, and much more.
Team Interaction
Every year, the team attends the Pecan Festival with last season's robot, playing games with children and letting the public try driving our robot. By participating in the Pecan Festival, we hope to spread awareness about the FSD1 robotics team and about the wonders of working with STEM.
